Support our Girls. Fund the Next Builder.

Through Dec. 31, every gift to Black Girls Code keeps every door open, from a free video to a summer of building.
Every summer, I watch the same moment happen in a different city. A girl writes a few lines of code, presses run, and something on the screen moves. Then she looks up to find someone to show it to.
That moment is why I do this work. It's also why this year we changed the question we ask ourselves. We have always measured our programs by what students learn. This year, we're asking what every young person needs to learn to be at their best.
Part of the answer is already in their hands. This spring, Girl Scouts of the USA found that half of girls ages 5 to 13 use AI at least once a day. The tools have arrived. Our job is to make sure every girl understands what they can and cannot do, and then to make sure she's one of the people building what comes next.
“As every industry becomes a tech industry powered by these different systems, these systems are coding our entire existence.”
Cristina Mancini, CEO
I don't expect every girl who comes to Black Girls Code to become a coder. I do expect every one of them to leave knowing how these technologies work, how to question them, and how to tell her own story about what she wants to build. That's what Support our Girls funds.
What one gift holds up
A gift to Support our Girls funds all of Black Girls Code. Here's what that covers.
- Code Along. Our free series on YouTube, every season, for any girl with a screen and a question. More than 11.5 million views and counting.
- Workshops. Hands-on building for ages 7 to 17, in person and online.
- Summer Camp. This summer, 633 girls across 14 camps in 10 cities shipped games, presented apps, and built things the world has never seen.
- College and Careers. Our community for young women 18 and up, with mentorship, job training, and a network that keeps going after graduation.
- What comes next. New programming in hardware, cybersecurity, and AI, built for where technology is headed.
“The more fundraising works, the more cities we can go to.”
Cristina Mancini, CEO
That's the plain math of it. Generous people, both companies and individuals, are the reason we can be in great spaces with great instructors. And the goal is to stay, so that the girls who find each other at camp keep building together long after the week ends. In my words from the video: “We want to continue to be around so that the friendships and learnings continue.”

Why $16
Next year, Black Girls Code turns 16. We're celebrating the way we know best, by making sure every girl who walks through our doors has what she needs to build. A monthly gift of $16 is the steadiest ground we can put under her. It funds the classroom before she arrives, and it tells her something she can carry for life: people believe in what she's building.
Ways to give
- Give monthly. $16 a month funds the next builder all year long.
- Give once. Every gift goes to the whole of Black Girls Code.
- Ask about a match. Many employers match gifts to Black Girls Code. Check with your HR team or your workplace giving platform.
- Share the campaign. Send this page to one person who should see what our girls are building.
Thank you for standing with our girls. Wait until you see what they build next.
